Investigation Lebanon project: off to a flying start, following the selection of five media outlets and a journalist

Two calls for applications led to the selection of five media outlets and one journalist.

CFI has launched two calls for applications to select the media and journalists who will take part in the Investigation Lebanon project and who will benefit from guidance and support in carrying out investigations into the issues of institutional reform and the fight against corruption.
The jury selected the media outlets Beirut Today, Manateq, NAQD, Janoubia, Raseef22 and journalist Hanan Hamdan.
Among these, Manateq and Beirut Today are already partners in another project implemented by CFI, the Qarib programme.

Each investigation will focus on one of the following themes: institutional accountability and transparency, implementation of anti-corruption laws, public administration reform and civil service reform in Lebanon. Financial support will enable the investigation to be carried out and an expert, appointed by CFI, will support the work of the journalists by providing advice, mentoring and coaching.

This activity is part of the project to support public administration reform in Lebanon, implemented by Expertise France and funded by theEuropean Union.
