Desinfox Sahel
Presentation
In the Sahel, disinformation techniques are increasingly sophisticated and false information is often translated into the national languages, increasing its impact and multiplying the danger it poses.
Desinfox Sahel supports the bolstering of African fact-checking organisations, by supporting its journalists in the production of so-called “open source” investigations (OSINT) and by supporting the fact-checking training they provide to media in their countries. The project also plans to organise co-production workshops bringing together fact-checking organisations from French-speaking Africa, to stimulate and support an approach based on working in a regional network.
