Intajat Jadida: a new project to support
audiovisual content production in the Maghreb

This two-year project aims to encourage the creation of innovative, cultural and educational content, in accordance with the new use and consumption patterns among those aged under 35 in Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia and Libya.

Intajat Jadida will be for project leaders working on audiovisual content projects – whether independent or working in a production company, digital media outlet or private radio station with online activity – whose output is followed by at least 4000 subscribers.

Entertainment, economics, cooking, personal development, video games, fashion, music, health or sport: editorial projects can focus on a very wide variety of topics. Two groups will be followed for six months, during which time both group and individual support will be provided.

Stimulating a culture of entrepreneurship

CFI will call on its community of media experts not only to provide editorial support, but also to help ensure the visibility and viability of audiovisual content and to provide production support. Those selected will benefit from “narrative arc” expertise to ensure the success of their production projects and allow them to compete for the “Best Pilot Project Award” in 2023 and 2024. A pilot project viewing session involving a test audience will make it possible to evaluate the way in which the content is received by the audience and the viability of the editorial proposal.

This incubation and mentoring programme will foster a culture of entrepreneurship and strengthen the skills of beneficiaries through abootcamp, incubation retreats, training workshops and various meetings. This project, which is both flexible and multi-faceted, symbolises CFI’s commitment to a new generation of audiovisual content producers in the Maghreb.
