SafirLab Seminar: France supports the key agents of tomorrow´s Arab* companies

Project launched in July 2012, SafirLab aims to reinforce the skills of key young agents within the new political and social dynamics of the Arab world.

The programme, designed by the Universiy of Paris-Dauphine, is materialized through a two-week seminar - from 24th September to 5th October 2012 - bound for 50 young people for whom professional projects have been selected.

SafirLab, an ambitious project in operation for tomorrow´s Arab companies and politicians

At the instigation of the minister of Foreign Affairs, Xavier Darcos - Chairman of the French Institute and Étienne Fiatte - General Manager of CFI - last July signed a partnership agreement to co-organise and co-finance the SafirLab project.
This unedited programme aims to reinforce the skills of those that embody the new political and social dynamics of the Arab world. With the emergence of a new community, founded on the values of a shared experience, SafirLab thus expects to participate in the building of a south Mediterranean exchange space.

In the framework of this initial Parisian two-week seminar, SafirLab offers future leaders of the Arab world tailor-made workshops and high level meetings, in order to complete their career paths and enrich their working plan.
The programme is also open to youth with a strong commitment in the associative field or in favour of the building of the Rule of law.

SafirLab also puts special emphasis on new digital media which have played a key role during the Arab Spring

The University of Paris-Dauphine will host the seminar throughout the two weeks. The first week will have a collective dimension and will come within the scope of three skill axes: media agents, social agents and economic agents.
The second week will be entirely dedicated to meetings with professionals and experts for work that is more individualized and adapted to the plans of participants. Visits (symbolic places of the Republic, companies, media, associations) and high level meetings will complete this programme.

For two weeks, we will alternate project presentations, thematic workshops, debates and good working practice exchanges. The seminar will host a big number of well-known figures who will enrich these meetings with their experience and vision.
Among them are, Martin Hirsch, the managers of La Cantine or even Pascal Canfin, delegated minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Back in their countries, the participants will be accompanied by the French Institute and CFI, who will maintain an open dialogue with them notably via social networks and by regular invitations to events.
