Launch of the hodaj.net platform in Yemen

hodaj.net is the result of several months of training for journalists on gender equality, women's rights and women's leadership in the media. These training sessions were organised by the Studies and Economic Media Center (SEMC), a partner of the project in Yemen.

In addition to training, female journalists from several governorates (Sana'a, Al Hudaydah, Ta’izz, Aden and Hadhramaut) benefited from expert coaching and support for content production. More than 40 pieces of media content have been produced, covering different topics related to Yemeni women.

This content will be broadcast on hodaj.net and also on the two radio stations benefiting from the project, Radio Lana and Yemen Times and other Yemeni media.

Amid challenging and complex circumstances in many respects (political, social, economic, psychological), this platform is intended to be a space in which journalists will be able to express themselves fully and freely on topics concerning women in Yemen.
