Eva Avramenko, a participant in the CFI’s Yak Vdoma program, recently won a journalism award in Ukraine

On June 6, Ukraine celebrates Journalist's Day.

In honour of this holiday, the Dnipro regional centre organization of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine awarded the winners of the "Information Front-2024/25" regional journalist competition in Ukraine.

In the category 'Journalistic Debut', Yeva Avramenko was awarded for her cycle of materials devoted to the problems of media literacy among young people, the fight against misinformation and the discovery of propaganda mechanisms. 
These articles, touching on concrete cultural subjects concerning the youth such as the role of influencers and video games, were created during her participation in the «Yak Vdoma» residenceof journalists, implemented by CFI Media Development in Bucharest, Romania, with support from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
