Young people from the Western Balkans: Join the #YouthVsFake Poster Competition!

As part of the Balkan Voices 2 and Shared Horizons project, CFI is proud to launch the #YouthVsFake – Balkan Youth Poster Competition, a regional initiative aimed at raising awareness among young people in the Western Balkans about the dangers of disinformation.

The competition is open to individuals under 30 from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia. Participants are invited to create original posters that explore the impact of fake news and promote the importance of reliable, high-quality information.

Objectives of the Competition

  • Encourage civic engagement and media literacy among youth;
  • Highlight the social, political, and cultural consequences of disinformation;
  • Promote critical thinking and creative expression through visual communication.

Prizes

In each country, three winners will be selected:

  • 1st Prize: €600
  • 2nd Prize: €300
  • 3rd Prize: €100

Winning posters will be showcased both online and in public exhibitions across the region, and will form part of a broader media literacy campaign implemented by CFI and its partners.

What should your poster be about?

Your poster should creatively tackle the theme of disinformation: how it spreads, its consequences, or how we can counter it. Symbolic, humorous, emotional, or bold – all styles are welcome!

How to participate?

Submit your poster by May 25th, 2025 via a form on this link

Make sure to follow the technical guidelines and share a poster that is original, personal, and impactful. Only one entry per person is allowed.
