New content to amplify young Sahelian voices

MediaSahel is providing 63 partner radio stations in Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger with financial support and training to help them produce high-quality content.

Involving young people in finding solutions through the media is at the heart of MediaSahel. Having trained journalists and radio technicians on issues related to gender, youth and conflict management, the project is now entering a production support phase.

Following various on-site training and support sessions at the partner radio stations, the MediaSahel trainers identified 63 radio stations that produce programmes related to the issues covered by the project. These media outlets will receive financial support and training for a period of six months in order to encourage them to amplify the voices of young men and women facing the Sahel crisis.
