Meeting between the HAICA and stakeholders in establishing a support fund for audiovisual creation in Tunisia

The meeting was an opportunity to present the study concerning the establishment of a support fund for audiovisual creation in Tunisia that had been carried out by two experts, Jean-François Furnémont and Ahmed Amine Azouzi.
Jean-François Furnémont is the founder and CEO of Wagner-Hatfield, a research and consulting company offering numerous services pertaining to public policy, regulation and strategy in the media and digital economy sectors.
Ahmed Amine AzouziI is a consultant specialising in the strategy, organisation and transformation of media and creative and cultural industries at his firm, Pencils Consulting (Paris and Tunis).

The second part of the meeting was handed over to Mrs Awatef Mzoughi, a lawyer and legal adviser for the HAICA, who spoke about a piece of proposed legislation relating to the establishment of the support fund for audiovisual creation.

The meeting saw lively discussion among the audiovisual professionals present, who sought to stress the importance of creating this new support mechanism and underline the need to discuss the sources of the financing for the support fund, as well as the model for managing it.
