Interactivity and attractiveness of content on the agenda at Afri’Kibaaru training sessions

Five workshops, held simultaneously in March 2022 in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), Nouakchott (Mauritania), Dakar (Senegal), Niamey (Niger) and N'Djamena (Chad), boosted the skills of 38 of the 46 Afri’Kibaaru media partners in the production of interactive and appealing content.

In groups of 12 to 16 people, journalists were taught techniques to make content more interesting and to produce content on the subject of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Jacqueline Nswingar Minguengue, journalist at ATPE in Chad, took a great deal away from the sessions:
“[...] The training enhanced our ability to report on the SDGs. It also allowed us to work together to create a professional Facebook page and a media outlet! Field trips gave us the opportunity to improve upon certain journalistic standards, reporting techniques, the use of ambient noise and teamwork. Suffice to say, I learnt a lot during these ten days of training!

Journalists from the eight media partners in Mali will also benefit from these workshops in May.
