Eight portraits of “exceptional women”

The journalists taking part in the 3rd edition of Afrique au féminin have produced eight reports for a special programme entitled Enquête d'Afrique: Femmes d'exception, to be broadcast in March on Canal+ in Africa.

As an itinerant training course offered by Canal+ University, the audiovisual training programme run by Canal+ International, L'Afrique au féminin is launching its 3rd edition this year. In partnership with CFI, L'Afrique au féminin is an initiative that aims to support, train and shine a light on filmmakers living in sub-Saharan Africa.

Selected from around a hundred applicants in September 2019, the eight backpack journalists each produced a ten-minute report devoted to “Exceptional Women”.
Following a writing workshop in Côte d’Ivoire and a week of editing training in Dakar, the winners will soon be delivering the fruit of their work. Their reports will be broadcast during a special edition of Enquête d'Afrique, presented by Hapsatou Sy, on March 10 on Canal+ in Africa.

Eight countries are represented this year, with trainees from Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Gabon, Mali, Madagascar, Senegal, Chad and Togo.
Kismath Baguiri, Ismaël Kwawy Angoh, Wivine Sébiyera Ovandang, Diaka Camara, Felana Carol Rajaonarivelo, Samba Ba, Yamgoto Guile and Joël Tchedre will represent their respective countries.
