D-Jil: 30 projects pre-selected from 250 applications
Related project
D-Jil250 candidates responded to the second "D-Jil" call for projects.
From these, 30 projects were pre-selected by a panel made up of representatives of D-Jil's partners, including: CFI (France), Skeyes (Lebanon), Irex-Europe (France) and FMAS (Morocco).
The selection criteria focused on the project's relevance to the expectations of young people living in Southern Mediterranean countries, on the methodology and feasibility of the project and on its innovativeness. Another key criterion was the digital dimension.
Two representatives of each of the 30 selected projects will take part in the next stage of the selection process, which will consist of two hackathons aimed at further refining the projects. The project teams from North Africa will take part in the Tunis hackathon, which will take place from 22 to 24 March, while those from the Levant and Egypt will meet at a hackathon to be held in Amman from 28 to 30 March.
With the support of experts and mentors, the teams will work on several projects during the hackathons. At the end of the two days, each team will present their project to a selection panel, half of whose members will be young people from the Southern Mediterranean region.
At the end of the two hackathons, the panel will select the 8 projects to be awarded grants ranging from €60,000 to €65,000 for projects lasting 12 to 24 months.
