600 days of #MekongNews

600 days of #MekongNews

More than 70 days of specialized journalism training, 200 journalists sensitized to science journalism and data journalism, and 40 journalists and content producers currently supported in their understanding of environmental issues and the challenges of sustainable development in the Mekong region.

In December, the “Mekong: Sustainable News” project celebrates its 600 days of implementation in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam since its inception on April 16, 2019.

In addition to training and coaching activities for journalists, the "Mekong: Sustainable News" project launched the "Mekong Media Initiative" in 2020, thanks to which six newsrooms have been selected to benefit from content production support focusing on life on the Mekong River and the impact of climate change.

In total, more than a hundred articles will be published in the region thanks to the project implemented by CFI and its local partners, with the support of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
