Delivery of trainings in journalism in Southeast Asia

CFI is looking for a service provider(s) capable of designing and delivering trainings and coaching in investigation journalism, mobile journalism, basic fact-checking and use of social networks in journalism, for southeast Asian journalists in Vietnam, Lao, Cambodia and the Philippines.

The Call is divided into 4 lots :
Lot 1 : Vietnam
Lot 2 : Cambodia
Lot 3 : Lao
Lot 4 : Philippines

The service provider will be in charge of the trainings below, which will be designed and conducted jointly with another co-trainer selected by CFI as part of another consultation.
1/ Design and conduct 1 face-to-face training of 5 consecutive days of introductory in “One Health” science approach in journalism for 12 journalists benefiting from the Project.
2/ Design and conduct 1 face-to-face training of 5 consecutive days of introductory in investigative journalism skills and interviewing techniques for the 12 journalists benefiting from the Project.
3/ Design and conduct 1 face-to-face training of 5 consecutive days of reinforcement in investigative journalism skills and interviewing techniques for the 12 journalists benefiting from the Project.
4/ Design and conduct 1 face-to-face training of 5 consecutive days of introductory in mobile journalism skills for reporting to the 12 journalists benefiting from the Project.
5/ Design and conduct 1 face-to-face training of 5 consecutive days to strengthen mobile journalism skills for reporting to the 12 journalists benefiting from the Project.
6/ Design and conduct 1 remote training of 5 day in the use of social medias for journalists, in order to broaden and retain audience on “One health” approach oriented news, for the 12 journalists benefiting from the Project.

Design and conduct remote coaching sessions for the 12 journalists, aimed at increasing their training achievements. The coaching will be carried out according to a schedule established prior to the start date of the Service, according to the needs of each media beneficiary. The schedule will be validated by the Project Manager, associating in a homogeneous way the days of coaching with the different trainings.

Media for One Health project wants to bring the “One Health” approach to the knowledge of a wide public by raising awareness of local media by training their journalists so that they can carry out their mission of information and prevention to the potential future crises. The media will be also encouraged to develop a positive and unifying discourse by promoting local, national and international adaptation solutions.

The general objective (GO) of the Project is to strengthen the knowledge and skills of South Asian media (Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and the Philippines) in the production and dissemination of information related to the “One Health” approach. Media treatment of this approach is expected to be a driving force in the prevention of infectious diseases by linking scientists, policy makers and civil society.
