Call for quotations for a mission to identify the training needs for trainers in journalism in Ethiopia

In June 2023, CFI launched a project entitled Ethiopia Media support, Train, Protect & Value to support the peace and national reconciliation process through targeted support for training in the media sector.

CFI's action aims to improve the capacity of the media in Ethiopia by helping to strengthen the Ethiopian Media Council (a self-regulatory body for the media), particularly in its role of training and disseminating best practice to its members and network. As part of this support, CFI will organise and implement two training of trainers (ToT) programs for a group of Ethiopian journalist’s trainers selected by the EMC.

The purpose of this Call for quotations is to identify an expert who, in consultation with the EMC, will define the scope of the two training courses, based on the experience of the EMC and its members (in particular the level of mastery of these subjects at the outset) and the needs expressed, the selection criteria for both the experts responsible for supervising the training courses and the people who will benefit from them, as well as the logistical conditions for carrying them out.
