Rwanda: The CFI partners the launch of TV10

From the 17-29 June 2013, CFI is organising a training course in Kigali aimed at journalists from the TV10 channel with the aim of improving editorial organisation and optimising the quality of TV news broadcasts.

The course will be hosted by Gilles Trenel (editor on chief of France Télévisions) and Mathieu Despiau (JRI) with the goal of structuring the editorial team in order to produce local news programming which is both lively and interactive.
Over a period of two weeks, the two experts will advise the journalists from the editorial team in the preparation, presentation and production of news programmes in French.

The course will also tackle the organization and management of editorial teams.

Télé10 is the first privately owned commercial station in Rwanda. It was launched in February 2013 and the TV10 group, which also includes a private radio station, aims to produce non-specialised local programming in three languages with an editorial line bringing together political and cultural news, social subjects and entertainment.

As CEO Eugène Nyagahene states: "Our goal is to create a modern TV channel giving voice to the civil community and reflecting a positive and enterprising image of Rwanda".
