Producing the Pilot of a Health Show with the Guinean Public Broadcaster

From 23 February to 3 March 2015, a team of experts from CFI worked at the Guinean public broadcaster Radio-Télévision Guinéenne (RTG) in Conakry, where they assisted in the production of the first magazine show in Guinea focusing specifically on health matters.

Sylvie Sargueil, a journalist specialising in medicine, Jean Baptiste Prédali, Chief Editor, and Christophe Couttens, producer, advised the editorial and technical teams at RTG as they set about producing the pilot of a health-related magazine show aimed at the general public.
This training was provided in order to strengthen the foundations of the magazine show, so that it could go on to build a loyal following among Guinean viewers.
The pilot was very recently broadcast, and has attracted positive reviews.

This initiative was conducted as part of the Guinea Media project, which is coordinated by CFI and funded by Expertise France and the European Union.

The project aims to support RTG as it seeks to restructure and modernise itself, and has involved significant investment, the devising of a plan for producing innovative content, and the scheduling of 10 professional training courses in order to help participants gain skills for which there was previously no development structure in place.
