Call for applications for Yemeni journalists

Call for applications for Yemeni journalists

Are you a Yemeni journalist living and working in Yemen? Are you acutely aware of the humanitarian issues facing your country? We would like to know more about you.

CFI is anxious to improve the dissemination of humanitarian information amongst affected populations in Yemen and is organising a Forum in Amman (Jordan) on the challenges facing humanitarian journalists in Yemen.

This Forum aims principally to establish contacts between Yemeni journalists and local/international NGO representatives working in the same areas of action, in order to achieve greater cooperation in the field between these two groups. This Forum is designed to lead to a constructive exchange and to shared reflection, allowing enhanced focusing on needs, tools and methods for making humanitarian information more readily available and easier for journalists to process.

At the end of this Forum, there will be a review of respective needs, which will help the organisers to better design the second part of the project in Yemen (training courses, technical support, etc.).

In addition, the participants will be invited to attend annual Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism's Forum (ARIJ) from 1st to 3rd December 2017 to the Dead Sea, to share and connect with other journalists from Arab countries.

If you are interested in this project and want to take part in the Forum on the challenges facing humanitarian journalists in Yemen, pleasesubmit your application on our call for applications platform by 10 October 2017.

Also you can submit your application on our arabic version call for applications platform.
